TEEN PORTFOLIO CLASS NEWS!

“THIS IS THE ONE CLASS I HATE TO MISS”-ARIANE

TEEN PORTFOLIO CLASS AT SHARON ART STUDIO is going very well. The students drew portraits of their classmates today with pencil and charcoal. I will post the results soon. Last week, we worked on drawing the figure and started with a quick gesture drawing and then longer 20 minute poses. The week before, I went to my local flower shop and got a beautiful assortment of flowers in a vase. The students were very focused. The week before they drew stacked chairs and we spoke about perspective. Drawing shoes was the second class. They also drew favorite objects brought in from home. I love that when the students are drawing it is super quiet, and I can see how concentrated they are by how attentive they are to the details they are looking at. Still life, portraits, and fine tuning their drawing skills is the focus of this class.
